Architecture is a major component that can foster a context for learning. Through the creation of new libraries and schools, we become aware of the importance of creating new places and spaces dedicated to promoting exchange, interaction, and collective work. This session will explore how Lemay has developed new pedagogical strategies through new secondary schools being built in Quebec and how architecture can transform the individual's relationship to education

Learning Objectives:

By the completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss strategies for creating spaces dedicated to promoting exchange, interaction, and collective work
  • Explain the obstacles to the transformation of educational architecture
  • Apply strategies that favour pedagogical development
  • Apply a human and sensitive approach to the educational space
