The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is pleased to support the Royal Institute for British Architects’ (RIBA) new International Prize. This prize is a major new global award intended to discover the best new architect designed buildings in the world. Open to any qualified architect, the RIBA International Prize will be awarded to a building in any country which exemplifies design excellence, architectural ambition and delivers meaningful social impact. Building on 50 years of delivering awards and launched in the year of the 20th anniversary of the RIBA Stirling Prize, RIBA’s rigorous judging process will involve two jury visits of each of the shortlisted buildings before winners are selected. The RAIC is pleased to be working with RIBA on the judging of buildings in Canada. Alongside RIBA, appointed judges we will visit buildings across the country and recommending visited buildings for awards.
