The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) has launched its most extensive community survey to date, seeking input from both members and non-members across the architectural, engineering, and construction sectors.
The initiative comes at a pivotal time for the profession, as practitioners navigate complex challenges including climate adaptation requirements, digital transformation, housing affordability concerns, and evolving regulatory frameworks.
The survey explores various aspects of professional support, including continuing education preferences, advocacy priorities, networking opportunities, and the evolving value proposition of professional affiliation in today's practice environment.
The survey also aims to gain input from a wide cross-section of the architectural community, including from established senior architects to emerging practitioners.
Results will directly inform RAIC's membership model, after thorough validation and reporting. The organization has committed to transparent sharing of findings and a clear implementation timeline for initiatives developed in response to survey insights.
The survey takes less than five minutes to complete and will remain open until September 15. Participants will be entered to win one of five $100 gift cards, one of five 2026 RAIC Conference day passes, or a grand prize of one All-Access conference pass.
