
Background
The name of this grant, which was originally called the RAIC Foundation Bursary, and its terms of reference have been modified in 2025. This grant is funded by the RAIC Foundation’s General Fund.
Eligibility
Individuals and organizations may apply for this grant. Preference will be given to applications that include members of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada
Amount
One grant of $5,000 will be awarded yearly.
The grant will be announced and presented to the recipient at the RAIC annual conference.
The recipient will be required to submit to the RAIC Foundation, within 12 months of the award, a written report on the results (or the progress) of the research project that the grant has allowed them to achieve.
Selection Criteria
The applications will be assessed based on the information provided in a completed submissions form described below.
Submission Requirements
Each Submission must be stipulated in the Call for Submissions and shall contain the following:
- Name, address, telephone number and email address of applicant;
- Brief c.v. of applicant(s)
- Project title.
- Summary description (maximum three pages) of project objectives, methodology, work product, intended audience and projected impacts. Explain if funding from other sources has been or will be obtained.
- Plan for the dissemination of the results with recognition of the contribution of the RAIC Foundation.
- Time frame from commencement to project completion.
- Budget.
