This webinar is part of the RAIC 2025 Conference on Architecture!
This lecture explores the issues involved in renovating the envelope of 1141 route de l'Église in Quebec City, and the strategies put in place to preserve its modern heritage in a context of enhancement. It will explore the challenges our practice faces in transforming the legacy of our peers, which even today are true witnesses to the effervescence of that era. The technical, architectural and moral challenges of the strategies to be implemented will be set out. The conference uses 1141 as a narrative framework to raise the necessary awareness of our profession with regard to our young, all too often unloved, heritage.
