Located at the convergence of Dundas Street West, Kipling Avenue, and Bloor Street West, this 60s-era, "spaghetti junction" will be untangled and replaced by an at-grade pedestrian-friendly intersection, boulevards, trees, bike lanes, and space for patios. The new plan also unlocks 15.5 acres of land for mixed-use development and 1.75 acres for open parks and public art spaces. It sets the stage for urban intensification in adjacent development blocks and parkland and creates linkages between neighbourhoods and amenities.

Not only does the design re-connect residential and commercial blocks and resolve traffic issues, but it also frees up valuable development land and open space. This project provides an excellent template for other cities and towns to repair their own spaghetti junctions.”
