About the Opportunity
Tamlin International Homes Ltd. is currently seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join their team in Coquitlam, BC. There is also a secondary Technical Sales opportunity which offers a highly competitive salary available for individuals who have a design background and would prefer a more client facing role that will combine design, customer service, and project management.

As an Architectural Technologist, you will be involved in a wide range of local, regional, and international custom home projects. This will entail working as part of a well-established design team to produce design, permit, and construction drawings for Tamlin's prefabricated home package systems.

More specifically your responsibilities will include:

-Working efficiently to satisfy client needs.
-Assisting in the preparation of computer-generated design presentation materials.
-Collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure that the design intent is consistently maintained throughout the project.
-Continuing to develop your construction knowledge and design skills in order to maintain Tamlin's high standard of excellence.
-Completing all work on time and communicating any issues in a timely fashion should they occur.
-Incorporating new technologies with our proven systems and using your creativity to recommend building solutions which balance cost and design.

In order to qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience combined with a degree in Architectural Technology and proficiency in AutoCAD (expertise in Revit and Sketch-Up would also be highly regarded). Familiarity with the BC Building Code (Part 9) and local bylaws is also a requirement. Individuals with a mix of relevant residential design experience and education may also be considered.

As our ideal candidate for this role, you will have exceptional organizational skills and will also demonstrate a high level of personal integrity and a strong work ethic. Hands-on construction experience is an asset as is previous project management experience in residential construction.

Lastly, your highly professional communication and relationship management skills will allow you to work well with your team, our clients and our vendors.

Other benefits include:

-Extended Medical and Dental Benefits.
-Yearly bonuses based on a performance review.
-The opportunity to work in a state of the art office that we're confident is better than a typical design office.
