Emcee of the President’s Dinner and Awards Gala: Dee Dee Taylor Eustace
The RAIC is pleased to announce Dee Dee Taylor Eustace will act as Emcee at the President's Dinner and Awards Gala at the Festival of Architecture.
Dee Dee is a Toronto architect, interior designer, developer, and project manager who has brought design to a wide audience through television, radio, and newspapers – including as a three-time guest on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Dee Dee’s firm, Taylor Hannah Architect, specializes in the residential and hospitality sectors and her projects have been published in magazines such as Better Homes and Gardens, Style at Home, and Traditional Home.
Dee Dee hosted HGTV’s Love By Design, starred in the reality show The Real Designing Women, and was a regular guest on CBC’s Steven and Chris Show. Her writing credits include weekly columns in both the Globe and Mail and the National Post, and the coffee table book Dee Dee Rules: NYC, Life, Love & Design.
A graduate of the University of Toronto School of Architecture, Dee Dee supports the school’s next generation of architects through her annual scholarship and as part of the Boundless Campaign. She also serves on the advisory board of the Laurentian University McEwen School of Architecture.
Dee Dee has played a leadership role on the boards and committees of numerous charities and organizations. They include the North York General Hospital, Out of the Cold Foundation, the Governor General’s Performing Arts Gala, Gala in the Garden for the
Toronto Botanical Gardens, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Canadian Council of American Relations NYC, and Bishop Strachan School. Currently, Dee Dee is chair of the board of the New Start Foundation for the Edgewood Health Network.
In spring 2020, she will launch her new fashion capsule: KADE, Keep Alive Design Ethical, described as a line for “women superheroes: professional and philanthropists.”
