Dubbeldam Architecture + Design, led by architect Heather Dubbeldam, is a multidisciplinary studio dedicated to advancing architectural and social agendas through design research and innovative built work. Rooted in core values of social impact, design excellence, and leadership, the studio's diverse portfolio spans residential, workspaces, hospitality, mixed-use, landscape design, and architectural installations.  The studio has developed a reputation for unique, beautifully crafted, and environmentally responsible projects that embody the spirit of place and people. 

A common thread in Dubbeldam’s work is a commitment to enhancing the public realm through built work, research, and advocacy. Continuously challenging the status quo drives their research projects, ranging from density to liveability, material explorations to sensitive urban interventions. Dubbeldam is known for their belief in architecture as a transformative force and ongoing commitment to supporting and advancing the profession. With over 90 awards, including the Canada Council for the Arts Professional Prix de Rome in Architecture, their work is recognized for design excellence, advocacy, and sustainable practices.

Dubbeldam Architecture + Design is overdue for significant recognition as they have set an example for the breadth, critical sensibility, and sense of responsibility they bring to architectural practice and its social contexts. Their established office is known across Canada for their zeal and sincere belief in architecture as a tool for change. Dubbeldam Architecture + Design has an ongoing commitment to the profession at large through the quality of its work and significant advancements in equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
