The plan establishes a vision and framework for an expanded, improved, and connected parks and public realm network within downtown Toronto to support a doubling of its population over the next 25 years. It is based on five transformative Ideas called Core Circle, Great Streets, Shoreline Stitch, Park Districts and Local Places. Initiatives include restoring and enhancing the Davenport Bluff and Trail, turning the traffic median on University Avenue into a linear park, and reconnecting downtown to the waterfront.
