Innovation in Architecture Award

Q. For the Innovation in Architecture category – is it mandatory that a project using the process/innovation be complete or can it be in progress?

A. For the Innovation in Architecture Award there is no required completion date.

Q. We are interested in sending a submission(s) - are there specific terms on the year a project was completed or time-frame relevant for this award.

A. For the Innovation in Architecture Award there is no required completion date.

Q. Do the submissions for the Innovation in Architecture category need to be built? There is one line on the form that asks for completion date, and it appears that past winners were completed. If so, what dates do they need to be completed between?

A. For the Innovation in Architecture Award there is no required completion date.

Green Building Award

Q. Regarding the Green Building submission, can you confirm that there is no page limit or image limit?

A. The proponents shall include any information necessary to fully describe the solutions related to the sustainability of their project.

Q. The Project Credit sheet requires that we name a specific architect, to appear on the medal/certificate.  We can do this, along with providing a license number, however due to the collaborative nature of the projects we would prefer for the medal/certificate to name the firm only. Is this possible?

A. Yes, the firm name can be engraved on the medal or printed on the certificate.  It is at the discretion of the recipient.

Q. The documentation accompanying the Green Building Award indicates that only LEED® Gold or Platinum buildings will be considered.  Will you evaluate a project that was designed to LEED® Gold standards, but has been awarded Green Globes certification instead?  Is that an acceptable certification option?

A. This project would not be eligible for submission.
