Bernard Jodoin Scholarships | Royal Architectural Institute of Canada

Bernard Jodoin Scholarships

These scholarships, first awarded for the 2002-03 academic year, are to financially assist students in the schools of architecture of the Université de Montréal, McGill University and Université Laval and to perpetuate the memory of Bernard Jodoin, FIRAC. The amount available is divided equally between the three scholarships for eligible students, who have successfully completed at least the first two years of their architectural degree. A third-year student who is selected to receive the scholarship is also eligible to apply for the scholarship the following year in their fourth year of studies.

It is the responsibility of each of the Schools of Architecture to form a selection committee to choose the recipient of the scholarship. The Schools may set their own conditions of selection, however the following two criteria must appear:

  • good academic results; and,
  • a brief justification of the candidate’s financial need.

Only one student from each school shall be selected.

The scholarships are funded by a generous gift from Mrs. Gisèle B. Jodoin. The amount may vary depending on interest rates and will be included in each announcement.
