Are you passionate about advancing climate action and sustainability in architecture? Do you want to help shape the future of architectural practice in Canada?
The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is seeking expressions of interest from licensed architects and subject matter experts to serve as an RAIC Advisor to Professional Practice (RAPP) with a focus on climate action and sustainability.
About the Role
The RAIC is committed to showcasing how design enhances quality of life, while advocating for important issues of society through responsible architecture. The RAIC’s mission is to build a better world for all by empowering a strong culture of design excellence in Canada. The RAPP will play a crucial role in supporting this mission by:
-Working collaboratively with the Committee on Regenerative Environments and associated working groups
-Guiding and developing professional practice resources related to climate action and sustainability.
-Identifying challenges and opportunities in sustainable architectural practice in Canada.
-Advising on advocacy initiatives that promote sustainability in the profession.
-Strengthening professional practice tools to equip architects with the knowledge and resources they need to lead in climate action.
This advisory role is a two-year term and includes an annual honorarium. Learn more about the initiative through the Terms of Reference.
