Commercial Intermediate Building Technologist

Position: Commercial Architectural Technologist
Location: Victoria
Salary: 70,000 - $90,000

We specialize in commercial projects and are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to contribute to our growing team in the Victoria office.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with architects and designers to develop detailed architectural drawings and specifications for commercial projects.
• Utilize expertise in commercial building codes and regulations to ensure compliance and quality in project designs.
• Prepare and manage project documentation, including construction drawings, permit applications, and technical specifications.
• Contribute to project meetings, offering technical insights and solutions to design challenges.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to support project development and ensure construction progress aligns with design plans.
• Work closely with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to address inquiries and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architectural Technology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience working specifically on commercial projects; multi-family experience is an asset.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other relevant architectural software.
• In-depth knowledge of the BC Building Code Part 3 and ASHRAE 90.1 (understanding of NECB would be an asset)
• In-depth knowledge of commercial building codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• A demonstrated passion for architecture and a commitment to delivering high-quality design solutions.
