DIALOG is looking for an experienced architect or designer in mid-rise and high-density living environments to help expand our mixed-use living design team. We believe that these mixed-use developments require empathetic and future thinking designers to collaboratively envision human-focused environments that will help our communities thrive. You will be part of a national team of creative, passionate and collaborative designers who believe we can truly make a difference.
 
Are you someone who is passionate about design, problem-solving, project team management, client relationships and ultimately about the human experience? Do you have experience leading mixed-use projects through design phases? Do you want to join a passionate, dynamic, and integrated interdisciplinary team that challenges each other to make a difference every day and think beyond the status quo?
 
How you'll make a difference:
  • Innovatively design and deliver projects with a deep curiosity to understand all relevant stakeholders (i.e. tenants, consumers, contractors and the community) and develop creative responses to meet their needs
  • Create and develop innovative design for living concept solutions while working collaboratively with a team during concept design, space planning, schematic design and design development
  • Resolve technical and design issues with the assistance of a Senior Architect
  • Deliver projects efficiently and effectively through inspirational leadership
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior team members
Who you are:
  • 5 - 8 years architectural design experience with a focus on high density mixed-use living projects
  • Design focused with strong building code and technical knowledge relating to high density mixed-use living project typology
  • Professional Architecture degree (Master's Degree in Architecture is a plus)
  • Proficiency with analogue (hand) and electronic forms of visual and graphic communication is essential
  • Experience working with wood-frame and concrete construction
  • Proficient with MS Office and Adobe Suite
  • Experience in Revit and Rhino
  • Eager to build transformational neighbourhoods through collaboration with a passionate and tight knit team
Nice to have:
  • Experience in Grasshopper
  • Experience with mass timber and modular pre-fab buildings
  • AAA Registered Architect
