What can we do to leverage climate change adaptation? How can we "punch above our weight" in local initiatives and the world stage? Join this public and professional dialogue. Young people encouraged to engage with top professionals.

Moderated by Gloria Venczel, Sustainable Urban Designer, MRAIC, MCIP, Thought Leader, RAIC + CNV Built City Speaker Series. 

Come hear Jim Taggart, FRAIC, Editor, SAB (Sustainable Architecture + Building) Magazine and author, Architecture of Engagement, speak to how the profession of architecture is addressing climate change. As well, Shazeen Tejani, M.Pl, Community Planner, District of North Vancouver, speaks to some of the tools that MetroVan municipalities are using for climate change adaptation and mitigation. 

Lilian Chau, RPP, MCIP, Community Investment Portfolio Manager, Impact Real Estate at Vancity, will speak to Vancity, a financial cooperative institution, initiatives on transit-oriented affordable housing and how that contributes to both social and environmental resiliency.
