Announcing the new Registrar of the RAIC College of Fellows

The RAIC is pleased to announce that Claudio Brun del Re, FRAIC, of Ottawa, ON has been elected as the new Registrar of the RAIC College of Fellows. His term begins October 30, 2019, replacing Randy Dhar, PP/FRAIC, who has served as Registrar since 2013.

“I am very honoured to have been elected," said Brun del Re. "The presence of Fellows in all regions of Canada raises public awareness of the genuine and unique skills architects contribute to society. I look forward to working with my colleagues to promote the College of Fellows."

Brun del Re is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and a member of the Ontario Association of Architects and the Quebec Order of Architects. He is a past President of the Canadian Architectural Certification Board and was the signatory representative for the Canberra Accord.

After working in private practice and construction management, he joined the University of Ottawa Facilities Service in 1993 serving as chief architect and subsequently as executive director. Under Brun del Re's leadership, the campus has transformed into a vibrant and sustainable urban place. He is currently the chief architect of campus development.

His fluency in both in English and French helps to foster greater inclusivity and effective dialogue.
