JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER Location: Calgary, AB Industry: Custom Residential Homes Compensation: $55 - 65K + Bonus ABOUT OUR CLIENT Our client is a leading custom home design and build firm in Calgary, known for delivering high-end, tailored residences that blend function, creativity, and timeless style. With a growing portfolio of luxury projects, they are seeking a Junior Interior Designer to join their collaborative team and support the design process from concept to completion. ABOUT THE ROLE As recruitment partners, we are searching for a detail-oriented and passionate Junior Interior Designer who is eager to grow within the residential design industry. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on experience in custom home projects, working closely with senior designers, architects, and clients to bring visions to life. KEY REPSONSIBILITIES Assist in developing design concepts, mood boards, and material palettes for custom homes. Support the preparation of drawings, renderings, and presentations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar software. Research and source finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and materials to meet project requirements. Collaborate with senior designers to produce construction documents and design specifications. Attend client meetings, site visits, and project walkthroughs to provide design support and ensure quality execution. Maintain organized project documentation, sample libraries, and supplier/vendor relationships. Stay updated on design trends, building codes, and local regulations relevant to residential interiors. QUALIFICATIONS Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field. 1-2 years of experience in residential or custom home design (internship or co-op experience will be considered). Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite). Strong sense of aesthetics, space planning, and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
