Intern Architect or Newly Registered Architect

At 5468796, in this position, you’ll be involved in projects from start to finish—from concept and schematic design through to construction administration. You’ll typically work closely with a project architect, gaining mentorship while developing independence in drawing production and project workflows. On smaller projects, you may take on direct responsibility as a ‘project architect’ alongside a partner or principal. Depending on project size, you may be part of a larger, collaborative team or lead key elements with greater autonomy. Qualifications • Master of Architecture (or equivalent) and intern or newly registered member of a Canadian licensing body • min. 2–3 years of Canadian experience in an architectural practice • Legally able to work in Canada [permanent resident or existing work visa] • Proficiency in CAD (Vectorworks an asset), Photoshop, InDesign, Pages, Numbers, and basic 3D modelling • Strong design skills and ability to clearly communicate concepts through drawings and diagrams • Solid organizational and project management skills • Ability to produce construction document sets under senior supervision and working knowledge of technical detailing and building code • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and graphic • Team-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and eager to make things happen • Interest in design culture and the broader purpose of architecture • Ability to self-edit and embrace constructive feedback • Assets: advanced 3D modelling/rendering (Sketch-up, Rhino, V-ray, etc.), experience with zoning approvals or alternate code solutions in MB or other jurisdictions For information on who we are and what we offer, visit our website to review the full job posting.
