Established on old, contaminated industrial wasteland, the Technopôle Angus’ phase II is an initiative in sustainable urban revitalization for the City of Montreal.
Abreast of the latest trends concerning employment hubs and industrial parks around the globe, the Société de développement Angus (SDA), Provencher_Roy and the project partners have produced an innovative development plan guided by five principles that address key social, economic and ecological imperatives:
- Job creation
- Harmonious integration into the existing urban fabric
- Ecological management of the built environment and infrastructure
- Appropriation of the site by locals
- Project profitability

"The design creates a public realm with a high degree of pedestrian connectivity and permeability. The jury found the plan to be particularly well presented with high-quality drawings, images, and diagrams. The plan includes its own validation, outlines clear objectives and then demonstrates how it is meeting those objectives. This exemplary rationalization of the design of the public realm will serve as a clear guide for subsequent architectural development."
