with long-term career goals and desire for advancement in a collaborative team environment.

Kumlin Sullivan Architecture Studio is a mid-sized architectural practice with a fast-growing portfolio including retail, commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects among others. Our philosophy on architecture focuses on working collaboratively to create a positive
impact and lasting contribution to the built environment.

1. SENIOR MANAGING ARCHITECT

Qualifications
• Degree from recognized school of Architecture or related design field
• Professional affiliations (Registered Architect / Intern with the AAA)
• 10 - 15 years’ experience in the architectural field with a mix of project type experience

Roles and Responsibilities
• Lead our growing team on a wide range of projects from commencement to completion, including ownership of scope, timeline, budget, and client expectations
• Guide all projects toward continual improvement in level of design
• Collaborate with Principals to effectively manage office, staff and projects
• Oversee staff and projects towards continually improving project delivery, quality and profitability while achieving a high quality design and technical excellence
• Knowledge and understanding of various project delivery methods
• Have experience in working with various Authorities Having Jurisdiction permit application processes and support Project Managers with AHJ correspondence

Skills

Management
• Initiate and foster relationships with various client types including business and full proposal development
• Experience managing projects & staff
• Construction administration experience

Design
• Broad experience with multiple building types and working in multiple architectural genres
• Continually striving for greater design knowledge and design presentation within a project team environment.

Drafting
• Thoroughly understands building construction / building envelope science
• Understands drawing / drafting requirements for various Authorities Having Jurisdiction’s submissions
• Understands various presentation techniques for design presentations
• Understands various 3D graphic presentation software capabilities and can oversee the process of generating 3D graphics / visuals.(Autodesk based)

Technology
• Provide oversight of the technical aspects of project delivery including project set-up, implementation and quality.
• Organize periodic review of project documents and deliverables.
• Monitor implementation of project team meetings.
• Ensure implementation of firm wide technical and delivery standards.
• Coordinate construction contract administration process and procedures to ensure that ‘lessons learned’ are brought back to the Design team.
