INTERMEDIATE ARCHITECT

Lydon Lynch Architects is seeking dynamic, energetic and creative people to join our studio.
Lydon Lynch is a Halifax based firm with a reputation for creating exceptionally designed, sustainable buildings in Atlantic Canada. We are a studio-based practice with a focus on collaborative design and implementation to ensure consistency from conception to realization. Our practice includes a diverse range of building types including cultural, educational, commercial, multi-residential and institutional.
As a progressive architectural firm, we believe that high quality design depends on high quality documents. You will work directly with our Principals, senior architects and staff while also working on projects independently or part of a project team. You will collaborate on a variety of project types and sizes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare concept and technical drawings during all project phases including Schematic Design, Design Development and Contract Documents
• Ability to work independently or as part of a project team
• High-level working knowledge of Revit is mandatory
• Knowledge of the National Building Code of Canada
• Ability to manage and coordinate with clients
• Ability to manage and coordinate engineering consultants
• Ability to achieve deadlines
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in Construction Administration
REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 5 years of experience working in an architectural firm
• Must be registered or eligible to register with the NSAA
• Bachelor or Master of Architecture Degree from a Canadian Institution
• Strong work ethic and design sense
COMPENSATION:
• Salary Range: $65,000 - $100,000 depending on experience
• 35 hour work week (minimum)
• Work from Home and Schedule flexibility
• 3 weeks vacation per annum depending on experience
• Paid time off between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
• Five paid wellness days per year
