Towards A Climate Action Plan

Join members of the RAIC’s Committee on Regenerative Environments (CORE) and special guests as they discuss their work since the passing of the RAIC Resolution for Urgent and Sustained Action on Climate and Ecological Health, at the 2019 Conference—and on the inaugural RAIC Congress on Architecture: Climate Action and Architecture in Canada, coming October 4, 2021.

Be inspired by a remarkable panel of Canadian cross-sector leaders ushering in large scale systemic change to a low carbon, more resilient and regenerative future. This panelists’ session will share initiatives, methodologies, and perspectives to address climate change within government, institutions, industry, and firms. Hear about our panelist’s initiatives, their macro view, obstacles encountered, solutions and/or compromises as they navigate a rapidly changing targets.

1.   Listen to multi-sector leaders share their top down / bottom up approach to addressing the climate crisis in a way that is contextually sensitive instead of normative.
2.   Extract how government, institutions, industry, and firms work with a Sustainability Action Plan (SAP) to achieve higher levels of performance and align others with their goals.
3.   Understand a variety of measurement frameworks with a continual focus on evaluation, adaptation, and improvement as living documents.
4.   Learn how to draw on a vision and purpose to create the culture and tools needed to successfully evolve to meet the challenge.
