• The RAIC 2021 International Indigenous Architecture and Design Symposium will be presented by the RAIC Indigenous Task Force on June 23 and 24, as a part of the Virtual Conference programming. • RAIC is pleased to partner with the Canadian Council of University Schools of Architecture to host the 2nd Academic Summit on June 17, 2021. This summit presents papers and projects from schools of architecture featuring the latest research from academics and practitioners in architecture and design. Register now.

• RAIC has established a new Continuing Education Advisory Committee appointing six RAIC members to serve for a three-year term. The operational committee will provide advice, recommendations and support to plan continuing education programming.

• RAIC released the Third Edition of the Canadian Handbook of Practice for Architects. Last published in 2009, this third edition is a comprehensive reworking of an essential professional resource that resulted from extensive collaboration by the architectural profession from every region of the country. The Handbook is available without cost on a comprehensive, searchable website in both official languages, English and French. As a living document, this resource will be continuously updated and developed over time to reflect the evolution of architectural practice in Canada. Visit chop.raic.ca.

• RAIC worked with the History Channel to secure an architect as a resource for an episode of Salvage Kings filmed in late February in Griffith, Ontario

• RAIC is working on an Architecture for Young Readers Project, to be launched in Halifax in April
