Mastering Construction Documentation and Project Records

Mastering Construction Documentation and Project Records is an online program developed by the Toronto Construction Association (TCA) and The Construction Institute of Canada (TCIC) to address the evolving needs of the construction industry.

This course provides practical, industry-aligned knowledge and essential skills required to effectively manage construction documentation in accordance with Canadian standards. It is designed for construction professionals, project coordinators, site staff, and others seeking to strengthen their understanding of records management, compliance, and documentation best practices.

Participants will develop a strong understanding of the role that accurate, timely, and well-organized records play in every phase of a construction project. The program bridges theory and real-world application, equipping learners with the competencies needed to manage documentation effectively — from project planning through closeout. Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to prepare, maintain, review, and organize construction records with professionalism, strong legal awareness, and adherence to industry best practices.
