The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) invites submissions for the Emerging Architectural Practice Award, the Architectural Firm Award, the Prix du XXe Siècle, and the Emerging Architect Award.

The RAIC is also calling for nominations for the 2020 recipient of its highest honour, the Gold Medal.

The deadline for submissions is 11:59 p.m. EST, Friday, January 24, 2020. Apply in a flash with the RAIC’s NEW online RAIC awards platform.

The competition is called the "One Rendering Challenge", and it asks a simple question – can you tell an architectural story with a single rendering? The initial entry deadline is December 20, though  students have the opportunity to submit their renderings up to midnight on January 10th. 

The Atlas of Excellence in Architecture is designed with the financial support of the Canada Foundation for Innovation, the Université de Montréal’s Centre for Digital Expertise for Research (CEN-R) and Humaneco. It will be hosted by Compute Canada as ongoing database allowing unprecedented comparative analyses of anticipated quality and quality as lived.

Awarded to recognize achievements of international consequence, the UIA Gold Medal and Prizes will be conferred at the Awards Ceremony this year in Rio de Janeiro during the 2020 UIA World Congress in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) on 19 to 23 July 2020.

Member Sections and elected UIA officials may submit nominations for the Gold Medal and Prizes only in digital form, using the UIA Awards Platform. Nominations are open until May 1, 2020.
