Discussion Topic:
Chapter 3.10 - Appendix D: The Architect as Advocate Architect/Compliance Architect/Design Manager/Researcher
We'll discuss the role of the advocate architect in supporting owners and user stakeholders within complex projects, especially when there is no direct relationship between the owner and the consulting architect. This chapter highlights the evolving role of the advocate architect in public-private partnerships (P3s) and integrated project delivery (IPD), and the expanded responsibilities in compliance teams. We'll explore the distinct role of the design manager in monitoring and reporting on the performance of a design, and the emerging trend of design research in improving performance based on research in various fields.
