From Revit to Digital Twin: Turner Fleischer Transformational Journey

This webinar is part of the RAIC 2024 Conference on Architecture, now available to stream!

Topics: Innovation in Materials, Technology and Construction

Length: 1 hour | What's Included: Video, Quiz, and Certificate of Completion

Our industry continues to evolve by exploring innovative technologies to streamline processes and reduce costs. One such technology the digital twin, which enables teams to create highly detailed 3D models that simulate real-world scenarios throughout the design-build-operate lifecycle.

This session will explore a studio journey from a Revit design model that has now evolved into a comprehensive digital twin complete with IoT integration. Attendees will learn how various data sources have been integrated into the company's workflows to create detailed 3D models, monitor asset performance remotely, and capture accurate project data. By leveraging data from IoT sensors and incorporating them into the system, insights are gained into asset performance and maintenance needs, allowing us to address issues and prevent downtime. The session will discuss the benefits of implementing a digital twin during the operation of a studio, and how it improves quality, reduces costs, and increases user satisfaction.

By the completion of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Discover how digital twins streamline information access and enhance project quality.
  • Learn to integrate SQL, Revit, Autodesk Tandem, and ACC/BIM360 for better project data management.
  • Gain insights on leveraging IoT sensor data to optimize asset performance and reduce downtime.
  • Understand the benefits and challenges of implementing digital twins and IoT for stakeholders.
