The roles: You will be at the forefront of transforming our cityscape. You’ll lead the design and execution of visionary projects that seamlessly blend aesthetics, place-making, functionality, and sustainability. Our portfolio ranges from innovative urban spaces that foster a sense of belonging, through unique infrastructure elements critical to successful running of a rapidly growing city, to landmarks that celebrate our city’s unique identity. This role isn’t just about architecture; it’s about creating experiences that inspire and connect.
What you’ll do: Translate conflicting priorities across a diverse buildings’ portfolio into accepted priorities and feasible project briefs. Select and lead multidisciplinary teams to transform complex design challenges into thoughtful architectural solutions. Collaborate with local communities, stakeholders, and consultants to ensure projects reflect the city’s values. Drive innovation by being a thought leader, integrating cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices into your projects. Mentor and inspire younger staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
What you bring: A proven track record of designing and delivering complex architectural projects, ideally in urban environments. Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with the ability to guide teams toward a unified vision. A portfolio that showcases your ability to think beyond convention, infusing creativity into every aspect of your work. Command of architectural software and tools, combined with a deep understanding of design principles and construction techniques. A commitment to sustainable and resilient design that enhances our city’s livability and longevity. Excellent verbal and visual communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The Senior Project Architect exempt position offers a salary range of $119,800 – $139,700 and the Project Architect exempt position offers $112,200 to $131,000 and both include employer-paid comprehensive benefits, an earned day off program, paid vacation and one of Canada’s top pension plans.
