sno architecture is a young, design-driven firm based in the North, and we’re on the hunt for an Intern Architect to join our team. Our studio is small, collaborative, flexible, and deeply invested in design. We work on a diverse mix of projects, including mixed-use urban buildings, residential, commercial, and cultural work across a range of scales.

You’ll be joining a studio where you won’t be siloed, you’ll be in the room, in the drawings, and on site, contributing to real projects from day one. We are looking for a long-term team member that will grow with the office.

The Ideal You

You’re independent, self-motivated, and bring a positive attitude, while also working well within a tight-knit team. You’re passionate about design, curious about how buildings actually come together, and comfortable stepping into any phase of a project. You’re eager to learn and to contribute.

You’ll be working directly with Principals and senior staff, with mentorship that supports your development toward licensure and professional growth.

• Intern Architect (recent graduates and registered architects also considered)
• Graduate of a Canadian architecture program
• 0–3+ years of experience in a Canadian architecture firm (we care more about curiosity and attitude than exact years)
• Strong design and communication skills
• Detail oriented, self-directed, and motivated
• Able to manage multiple priorities without losing your mind (or your lineweights)
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp is highly beneficial, you’ll likely jump right into drawing and design tasks
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and visualization software (e.g., Twinmotion) is an asset
• Interest in both design and the broader process of making buildings

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be involved in a wide range of project work, including:

• Concept design and early-stage thinking
• Participating in design discussions and having your ideas heard, not just drafting in the background
• Client meetings and coordination
• Drawing production and technical development
• Site visits and construction-phase support

Because we’re a small office, you’ll have exposure to all aspects of practice rather than being limited to a single role. You’ll gain experience across all project phases (not just redlines), and take on meaningful responsibility as your experience grows.
