The RAIC launches a Life Cycle Assessment workshop series in collaboration with the National Research Council of Canada. This education is designed for architectural professionals (licensed architects, interns, technologists, students) and anyone who wants to learn about Life Cycle Assessment and how to reduce embodied carbon in real-life projects.

A Canadian commemorative medal has been created to mark His Majesty King Charles III’s Coronation on May 6, 2023. The King Charles III Coronation Medal is a visible and tangible way to recognize 30 000 outstanding individuals of all ages and from all walks of life who have made a difference in their communities. 

To ensure the broadest possible recognition, several partners, including the RAIC, have been invited to nominate candidates from their communities or organizations for this national honour. We invite RAIC members to nominate their peers, who are also members, for this recognition.

The deadline to submit a nomination is 10 pm ET, August 8, 2024.  

On behalf of the RAIC College National Committee, the RAIC is seeking to fill two volunteer opportunities for the position of Regional Chair in the following regions: 

Alberta / Northwest Territories 

Manitoba 

Eligible applicants must be RAIC Fellows in good standing and must be a resident in the region of interest. 

The Regional Chair will assist the Officers of the College by receiving nominations, by initiating committee work when requested and by liaising with the RAIC’s Regional Director and local organizations on matters of mutually beneficial interest. 

The duration of the Regional Chair's appointment will be a maximum term of three (3) years.
