The RAIC is saddened to announce the passing of Stephen Cohlmeyer, a prominent member of the Winnipeg architectural community. Known for his passion and generosity for his colleagues and the profession, Stephen was a Fellow of the RAIC, a member since 1981, and an exemplary advocate for architecture in Canada.

The Path- Your Journey Through Indigenous Canada was created by a majority Indigenous-owned company and was has been developed with First Nations, Inuit, and Métis advisors and reviewers. The program consists of five online, video-based modules. This course is self-paced and takes 4 to 5 hours to complete with a certificate provided upon completion. Available in English or French, the course is available to you until May 31, 2022.

 During the 2021 RAIC Annual General Meeting (AGM) that took place on Wednesday, June 30, 2021, all motions where conducted using a poll system. RAIC President John Brown, FRAIC informed the attendees that all polls will be subject to an audit following the AGM. RAIC Management is pleased to inform its members that all motions where carried.

The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) is pleased to begin accepting submissions for the 2022 RAIC International Prize. The Prize, awarded every two years, celebrates architecture that is judged to be transformative within its societal context and emblematic of the human values of respect and inclusiveness 
  
Architects, teams of architects, and architect-led collaborations are invited to submit a building or a related group of buildings that has been completed, occupied and in use for at least two years prior to the entry deadline. The deadline for receipt of submissions for the 2022 RAIC International Prize is December 3, 2021. 

The Lithuanian National Museum of Art (LNMA) has just announced an open international architectural competition for international open architectural project competition of the building complex of Jonušas Radvila Palace and it‘s approaches in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The competition calls for a vision for the revitalization and empowerment of the Radvila Palace building complex – museum of art and design: to create a museum of global art and design, showcasing art of different periods from different countries of the world. Visual art and design is the core concept that binds the whole complex of buildings together. It must also become an attractive public cultural space, accessible to all.
