This session is a part of the CHOP CHAT Series.

Discussion Topic:
Chapter 5.1: Managing the Design Project

We'll discuss the fundamental processes of managing a design project, the deliverables produced, and the role of the project architect (also known as the project manager or design team leader). This chapter provides an overview of scope management, schedule management, and the responsibilities of the project manager. While it does not cover project management as a separate professional service or construction management, it offers insights into tools and techniques appropriate for architectural practice. We'll also touch on related topics such as project stakeholder management, design project cost management, risk management, and project procurement management.

Speaker Don Ardiel, B.Arch., MDE, OAA, PMP.
