Ottawa, ON – The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and NetCom Learning today announced the launch of AI⁺ Architecture, a new professional development program designed to equip architects and built-environment professionals with practical, ethical, and production-ready skills in Artificial Intelligence.
The program addresses a growing need across the profession: as AI tools become embedded in design, documentation, sustainability evaluation, and construction workflows, architects require structured, practice-relevant training that goes beyond surface-level familiarity. The program is available in both live and on-demand formats.
Program Overview
AI+ Architecture is a 40-hour program delivered across 11 modules covering the full arc of AI in architectural practice:

Module 2: Data-Driven Decision Making in Architecture
Module 3: BIM as an Intelligence Platform
Module 4: Computational Design and Parametric Thinking
Module 5: Generative Design and Optimization
Module 6: Generative AI for Architectural Ideation & Visualization
Module 7: AI for Environmental Performance & Building Physics
Module 8: Sustainability, Carbon, and Wellness Intelligence
Module 9: AI in Urban Design and Planning
Module 10: AI in Construction and Project Delivery
Module 11: Responsible AI, Ethics, and Professional Practice
Audience & Prerequisites
The program is designed for licensed architects, intern architects, architecture firms, and allied professionals in urban planning, engineering, construction, policy, and academia. Participants require basic digital literacy and access to a laptop. Familiarity with one modeling platform (Revit, Rhino, ArchiCAD, or SketchUp) is recommended. Starter files and guided workflows are provided.
