Senior Architect We’ve opened roles in all our offices for talented, entrepreneurial candidates to work alongside exceptional people in JLR’s Architectural group. We’re looking for a Senior Architect that is passionate about design and Architecture that wants to lead the growth and development of the Architectural Group. We’re looking for talented and creative people to support both business development, delivery activities, and proven or emerging leaders to develop and manage our clients and projects. The ideal candidate will be a licensed Architect (OAA) with at least fifteen years of diverse project experience and possess a demonstrated passion for excellence in architecture and design. They will possess a range of key attributes, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to manage and synthesize projects, excellent knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 3) and proficiency with the CCDC 2 2020 Contract, strong understanding of building envelope systems, and a passion and interest in mentoring junior staff. Your role will include: • Leading projects and design teams. • Working alongside the Chief Architect and JLR leadership group to drive projects forward. • Collaborating with team members as part of an integrated project team, including execution, design, and reporting. • Engaging through all project stages, from the definition, through planning, design, and construction, using your demonstrated abilities to recognize opportunities, understand client needs and manage and deliver projects. • Architectural design and contract administration related to a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial construction projects. • Liaising with clients, engagement and leadership business and client development activities. • Participating in the preparation of proposals, reports, specifications, contract documents and budget estimates. • As required, travelling between JLR offices across Ontario and Canada to meet the needs of various projects and/or training purposes.
