THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As a Senior Architect, you will play a crucial role in shaping the built environment of Kelowna, one of the most beautiful cities in British Columbia. With its breathtaking landscapes, sparkling lakes, gorgeous vineyards and vibrant culture, Kelowna provides the perfect backdrop for creating architectural masterpieces that integrate seamlessly with the natural surroundings. RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Design Excellence: Lead the design process and develop architectural concepts that embrace the beauty and uniqueness of Kelowna's natural surroundings. Create sustainable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing solutions that exceed client expectations.
2. Project Management: Oversee all phases of architectural projects, including planning, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
3. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including interior designers, engineers, and contractors, to integrate various design disciplines into cohesive and harmonious solutions.
4. Client Engagement: Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their vision and requirements, and translating them into exceptional architectural designs. Provide expert advice and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Mentorship and Leadership: Guide and mentor junior architects, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster their professional growth. Lead by example, promoting a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Professional Credentials: Possess a degree in Architecture and hold a valid license to practice architecture in British Columbia.
- Experience: Demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience in architectural design and project management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects from concept to completion.
- Design Expertise: Showcase a strong portfolio of completed projects that highlight your ability to integrate natural elements, sustainability, and functionality in architectural design.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Knowledge of sustainable design principles and building codes is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail: Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering accurate and precise documentation.
- Passion for Kelowna: Demonstrate a genuine appreciation for the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Kelowna, and a desire to contribute to its architectural landscape.
