This is an excellent and unique opportunity for a strong and versatile Senior Architect to join a leading design firm in the Vancouver market.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our Client has built an incredible reputation in the Okanagan Valley and expand their work throughout Western Canada. They have been established for over 30 years and have an incredible leadership team with a very unique and dynamic group of projects. They specialize in a variety of different sectors including residential, commercial, retail and institutional work. They have an excellent growth structure and a lot of plans to develop and grow further into new markets and projects as they expand. They have been a key player in designing and developing the fabric of the Okanagan and will continue to develop those spaces as the expand further.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The Senior Architect will have a diverse portfolio of projects ideally based in Western Canada and will have a strong skill set in design, leadership and project management. With a keen sense of design and a passion for creating spaces with community engagement in mind their approach to design is dynamic and collaborative and includes all key players in the project development. This individual will understand architectural practices and will have experience leading teams and managing projects in both the small and large scale. There is a lot of room for this position to grow and develop further in an eventual Associate or Partner opportunity as the role develops.
This candidate will have the following aspects;
Master's in Architecture and Design with an AIBC/Provincial license
LEED AP and PMP are additional assets
8+ years' experience within the working within an architecture and design based consultancy firm
3+ years' experience leading a team and managing teams through projects
Excellent client relationship management skill set
Excellent technical knowledge and design experience within the industry
Portfolio of projects and designs within Canada that highlight design skills
Experience working with technical programs like REVIT and AUTOCAD are assets
Detailed approach to project management and design with an entrepreneurial mindset
High energy, innovative thinking and a dynamic approach to design and planning a must
Excellent presentation and communication skills
