AXIA Design is an award-winning architectural practice with offices in Toronto and Hong Kong. Founded in 2010, AXIA has built a diverse and global portfolio of work that is contemporary but firmly rooted in its geographic, social, and cultural context. Current and recent projects include university projects, social and shelter housing, mixed-use (mid/high rise), custom houses, retail & hospitality, and experiential (event) design. We continue to build our profile and refine our design language through national and international design competitions, with wins and results across the world. Our work is propelled through our internal collaboration as well as through our expanded multidisciplinary network. AXIA is seeking an Intermediate-level Architect to join our Toronto team. We are a transparent organization that prioritizes the personal evolution and wellbeing of its members. Your ability to work well independently, while contributing to the internal critique of other office projects, is valued and appreciated. You will play a critical role in the design, coordination, and construction of exciting current and upcoming projects.

Our ideal candidate is an architect with the proven ability to take on a leadership role in the execution of quality buildings and interiors. You must demonstrate experience ranging from concept design through to contract administration and you will have experience working on a variety of project types. Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example are valued assets. -Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural technology;
-Minimum 7 years of professional working experience not including co-operative education placements, including 2 years in Contract Administration;
-OAA Registration (Architect or Intern Architect)
-Advanced knowledge of Revit, Microsoft Office and Adobe CS.
-Strong (Schematic-level) 3D visualization skills are an asset (Rhino, SketchUp etc.)
-Effective written and oral communication skills
-Must be proficient with construction documentation standards, as well as the application of the OBC.
