DHI Canada proudly serves door security and safety professionals, and the dynamic companies they represent, in the non-residential construction industry. We provide members with the collective intelligence to meet the security and safety needs of their customers through:
Education - We have a vast catalogue of educational offerings to suit your needs ranging from foundational to advanced courses.
Advocacy - DHI Canada actively reviews existing building codes and reports on proposed codes changes affecting our industry, thanks to the dedicated work of our Codes Committee. We are strong supporters of women in construction. We promote Women In Construction Week and we recently launched a DHI Canada Women’s Leadership initiative
Facilitated Networking – DHI Canada provides a variety of networking opportunities through in-person and digital means. Through eblasts and social media posts, DHI Canada actively engages our members and stakeholders in the many networking opportunities we provide. Our in-person networking includes national and regional education programs, a bi-annual Canada Conference & Expo and regional golf tournaments.
Accreditation - More than 2,000 door security and safety professionals from around the world have earned professional credentials through DHI. Their skills, training and knowledge of building codes support the life safety and security for millions of building occupants. Those who are working toward or have already achieved a certified consultant status know the hundreds of hours it takes to learn every aspect of the door and hardware industry, plus the attention and effort required to hone that knowledge into a skill that will satisfy the many different needs of a building.
