Indigenous Design Symposium in Ottawa a success
Over 150 delegates attended the inaugural International Indigenous Architecture and Design Symposium in Ottawa on May 27. This remarkable event included a keynote by RAIC Gold Medalist and renowned Indigenous architect, Douglas Cardinal, FRAIC.
The symposium will serve as a springboard for the work of the task force, which believes that architecture is a public-spirited profession with an important role in reconciliation – addressing injustices through giving agency back to Indigenous people.
