RAIC College: Call for 2026 Nominations

Nominate your colleagues and peers for Fellowship and Honorary Fellowship at the RAIC. The College of Fellows formally recognizes members and distinguished laypersons who have made outstanding contributions to the profession in design, scholarship, or service to the profession or the community.  

We invite all members of the RAIC to nominate an individual. All nominations must be submitted by October 31, 2025, 10 p.m. ET on the RAIC’s online submission platform.

Submit a Proposal for the RAIC 2026 Conference on Architecture

The RAIC invites proposals for continuing education sessions and architectural tours for the conference taking place in person in Vancouver, BC May 5-8, 2026 at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre.

The Conference program is designed to promote professional and educational success, and will feature high-quality educational sessions with interactive content, innovative ideas, and engaging discussions. The program will also feature local architecture tours that provide exclusive insight into Vancouver’s built environment.

The deadline for submissions is September 22, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PT.

RAIC and Parks Canada Launch International Design Competition in Banff National Park 

Parks Canada has announced the beginning of the pre-qualification phase for the architectural design competition after which up to six respondents will be invited to submit conceptual design proposals. The competition will be undertaken in accordance with the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) guidance for competitions in Canada.

CAA in Collaboration with Sintali Presents: Using EDGE Certification to Design Greener Buildings
 
The Commonwealth Association of Architects (CAA), in collaboration with Sintali, is delighted to continue the sustainable education series focusing on EDGE Certification. In this, the second of three sessions, we will focus on the functions and technical uses of EDGE. EDGE (Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) is an internationally recognised Green Building Standard and Certification System developed by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to support the need for measurable and credible solutions to prove the business case for green building and to help architects and their clients unlock green finance opportunities.
