THIS WEEK! April 8 - How to Hold Accessible Meetings and Consultations

SESSION SUMMARY: 
New requirements from municipalities, clients, and the Accessible Canada Act, as well as an ageing population, impact the requirements for accessible consultation. Given that public consultations are a regular part of design activities, it is important that architects continue to strengthen their skills in holding accessible meetings and getting valuable feedback.

This webinar teaches skills that will improve outcomes, including appropriate language, accessible invitations, accessible meeting location requirements, how to find representatives from the disabled community to participate, what accessible accommodations might be requested, along with how to make your presentations as accessible as possible.

The presentation will conclude with a resource list to help participants and their teams be ready for all future meetings.
