Dear ,
Today, the RAIC sent a follow-up letter to the government advocating for our members and the architectural sector. Specifically, we urged the government to make immediately accessible money outlined in the COVID-19 Economic Response to small, medium and large businesses. The impact of COVID-19 continues to put the viability of all businesses at risk. The implications for staffing and service delivery may be severe for businesses, particularly those with limited resources. The economic impact continues to be widespread and significant. Additionally, we urged the government to resume business as usual as quickly as possible in the architecture and construction sector. The architecture and construction sector depend on jobs supported by the government and the RAIC advocated to keep people in this sector working. To support the RAIC to obtain a picture of the impacts of COVID-19 on the architectural sector we have created a COVID-19 Pulse Survey to collect information. This data will be used to inform RAIC activities (e.g. advocacy, continuing education, practice resources). Due to the urgency of the COVID-19 crisis, kindly respond by March 27, 2020 (5:00pm PST). Although this situation remains unpredictable and we do not know how it will unfold, RAIC staff are working diligently to support RAIC members and the architectural sector. RAIC members are top of mind at this unprecedented time. We remain committed to monitor the quickly evolving situation and will keep you informed with regular and ongoing communications. |
