Ministers Island Tour - RAIC 2022 Congress on Architecture
This is a live in-person tour that takes place during the RAIC 2022 Congress on Architecture Week in St. Andrews, N.B.
Led by John Leroux, MRAIC, delegates will leave the hotel by motorcoach and travel to Ministers Island, a 500-acre island located near St. Andrews-by-the-Sea, New Brunswick where Sir William Van Horne lived with his family during the summer months. This National and Provincial Historic Site is accessible only at low tide by driving or walking on the seafloor. On this panoramic and scenic tour, delegates will be provided with a guided tour of “Covenhoven”- the large 50 room sandstone mansion, “Bath House” - a circular bathhouse and tidal saltwater swimming pool, and one of the most unique barns and creameries in Canada along with many other historic and unique buildings.
