For me, people are the exciting part of architectural conservation as they maintain the stories of how things were done before, of what life was like in the past, of cultural connections to a place or practice, and of collective or personal memories.
People are connected to places, buildings, objects, and structures, the very things that architectural conservation strives to maintain.
